Amongst
one of the most popular still waters owned by the club.
This former gravel pit offers around 50 pegs. The fishery
is the approximately 11.8 acres in size and depths range
from 8 - 18 feet, with some smaller marginal depths. The
key to successfull angling on this water is to plumb carefully
with pole or waggler, or when fishing further out to try
and locate the numerous gravel bars. Several projects
have taken place in 2004, including the addition of clay
to try and cause some colouration of the water, plus more
eutrophication based projects are planned later on. During
the mid 1980's 700 Carp were introduced to the fishery,
which dominated angling for around a decade making this
water an carp angling paradise. During 2003 a two year
stocking plan was introduced for introduction of over
3,500 lb tench, 10,000 Roach to 1lb, 5,000 skimmers to
a 1lb and 480 bream to 6lb. In the past few years lots
of Bream, Roach and Tench have been stocked.
