Harold
Park can be found in a scenic recreational park, just
minutes from Bradford City centre. It is one of the three
lakes which make up the waters known as the Bradford
lakes. Depths vary from 3 to 18 feet with shallow water
found around the island and old boat house. Access is
straight from the car park and a watchfull eye can be
kept on both float and car. This is an excellent fishery
for the disabled members due to the easy access.
Harold Park is generally fished by the older members
of the club as there is a local knowledge which needs
to be acquired to safegaurd against a poor day. Pole
and feeder are productive methods, but the waggler with
either maggot, bread or hemp count for many good nets
of the main Roach population. The park is often visited
by locals who feed the ducks, it is down to this bread
feed that over the last few years the many large (but
elusive) Carp have revealed themselves and been targetted
by the Carp members of the club. Feeder fished from the
deep end (left of entry) has accounted for some nice
specimen Bream.
