The
club water can be found in the middle reservoir of this
18th century water supply reservoir chain. Depths
very from 6 to 32 feet, with the total area of the lake
some 10 acres. This is a water with massive untapped
potential, although several Carp members have started
to target this water, fishing dog biscuit and travelling
light. In the summer the surface of the water can be
seen to be almost covered with the Roach and Perch which
are the main species. There are some massive Carp in
the water which can
often be seen taking bread during the summer. The water
holds a match record of 26lb of Roach in a 4 hour evening
match. This water was recently been stocked with over
3 thousand Roach from a nearby park lake with many specimens
over the pound mark. Previous to that the lake was stocked
with Perch from a local trout reservoir in total around
2,000 fish were stocked with most fish around the 1/2lb
mark with some specimens to 3lb. In the
shallower water Pike can be found ranging from small
jacks to some very large specimins. There are two entrances
both entailing a walk in excess of 5 minutes. 2002's
stocking program saw the introduction of 5,000 carp
